About Me
I am a passionate, antiracist, womxnist, fat, black femme, therapist, working to heal generational trauma within families and communities. I recognize that individuals have work to do to improve the quality of their lives, but sometimes it’s not the person, but the system that’s broken. Sometimes one’s own humanity must be fully seen and validated before they can recognize the value that they hold in the world. I find great joy in going on these journeys with families, individuals, adults, youth and groups.
My treatment modalities include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Eclectic Styles, humanist and African-Centered approaches, and restorative interventions. Additionally, my unique style of antioppressive, Multicultural relationship building, allows me to work with community members with multiple intersecting identities.
